Rotator Cuff Surgery-1, Patty O-0
Wednesday was the big day…
it came, it went,
they cut, they shaved, they re-attached!
And now,Β I’m on the mend!
To all my do-it-yourselfer friends…
you’ll fully appreciate my question to my doc:
“How soon can I wield a hammer?”
Yes, well, remember that patience request to God?
We’ll need a little extra dose for the next few months.
In the meantime, I’ll enjoy the fabulous cake pop bouquet my sis-in-law made me…
I’ll take my vitamins…
I’ll catch up on my subscription to More Magazine…
and look at my adorable 3 little piggies my husband gave me as a get well present.
Oh…and be sure to take note of the vintage metal candy box…it now houses Kleenex.
And then there’s the Murder, She Wrote book and my iphone.
This and my couch with my pillows all set up just the way I like them.
I like to call it “Command Central”.
Talk more soon…
Patty O
Hi Patty,
So sorry to her about your surgery. The Dr.s are telling me that down the road I will have shoulder replacement due to arthritis in the ball and socket. Trying to avoid things that stir up horrible pain. the next thing they will do is go in and clean up the best they can, except they weren’t guaranteeing any relief. You know me, the worst part is my long hair. How would i ever survive??? STALLING!!!!!! I was with Bruce as he recovered fro m rotator cuff surgery..not a fun time for several days..I felt so sorry for him. Blessings and love to you, my dear friend. God is the great healer, so I will pray perfect healing for you. Susi

By “few” months, I hope that means less than 2! I’ll have to make a point to come up and visit if I’m in the neighborhood. Bring you some “soul” food — choc. cake. π

Yay Patty!! Your surgery was a success and you’re on your way to recovery! That’s so great to hear, hope you”re getting very spoiled while you mend, and the pain is not too bad?
Here’s to you being back on the hammer in no time!
P.S. The hearth tiles came home today and we’ve got the layout sorted. They’re gorgeous!! Kitchen colours all sorted and we’ve a small pot of “our” green to try on the wall!! I’m so excited, and glad to have something to take my mind off waiting for my next surgery…….
Hugs and speedy recovery vibes to you xxx

Not so good for me, my surgeon says I’m still too inflamed for surgery. He has put another drain in and we are hopeful for another try in 6 weeks.
Thanks for your prayers xx

Oh Meg, I’m so sorry. Well, I’ll keep praying…this time for the inflammation to go down. This means you get to boss around your family in the meantime while they work on your fireplace/kitchen redo, right? π

Yep, that’s right Patty. It’s pretty exciting right now, Fitty is laying the hearth tiles tonight and tomorrow night, and the fire should be in by the weekend.
We picked the right time to do this as the weather is lovely down here right now. Warm sunny days and nice cool nights. Things will be getting cold soon though so Fitty had better hurry up…..
Hope you’re feeling better today? x

Oh how fun Meg! Enjoy your weather and project! I am doing better. Starting to get bored with my one-handedness!

Oh poor you, are you a two finger typist or do you do it the old fashioned way, (touch typing) like me? It would drive me crazy to not be able to type with both hands!!
Hopefully soon you’ll be back to your two handed self?
