A Sweet Walk to Baseball Practice

I decided to walk with Gabi to baseball practice today.

It’s the perfect weather outside…nice and cool, sun shining, simply beautiful.

I laughed as I slipped on my tenners…I realized I couldn’t tie them, so here came Gabi to save the day!

As we walked out of the garage she grabbed my hand and weaved her fingers into mine.

And we walked all the way down to the ballpark like that…

Walking, and talking…and holding hands.

{sigh}

Does she really have to grow up?

Can’t I keep her just like this?

I know the answers…

{sigh}

I’ll just have to appreciate every moment I can.

I love that little girl…

who’s almost taller than me…

and has bigger feet than me…

and will be a teenager this fall.

{sigh}

We’ll just have to keep making memories.

Because soon I’ll look up to her…my baby girl…my Miss Gabi.
