Elena and The Photo Shoot

It rained the day of the photo shoot, which brought all the festivities indoors.

The session was a favor to my friend Barb Kellogg who is building her people portfolio…she already does wonderful pet and landscape photography.

The original plan was for her to shoot our family…Sam, Gabi, Tim and me.  However, I, having once again over scheduled myself, had the babies for the day too.

Thankfully, Jen (baby Momma) decided it would be a good idea to snap a few photos of the little ones too.

The fun began shortly after Barb arrived…

We introduced Barb to Elena and Nicole, and then Barb went ahead to get set up in our front porch.

Curiosity got the better of Elena and after a few “check the lighting shots”, Elena was ready for her turn.

We created a monster.

This little girl, like so many other 1st children…we won’t name names (Alex)…LOVES to be in front of the camera.

Every moment she could she was sneaking into photos.

There was the shot of her and her sister Nicole – where she had her arm around Nicole’s neck and the poor little thing looked like she’s about to growl – Nicole that is, Elena had a big grin on her face.

And then there was the moment we were trying to get a shot of the four of us (Tim, Sam, Gab and I) and Elena kept peeking up from behind the wicker settee.  PHOTO BOMB!

{huge grin}

And  her extra “star” moment on the outside steps – wiggling, waving her hands and being generally adorable.

Our day was pure CHAOS and a great time was had by all!  (…OK, Tim looked a little fried by the time the day was done.)

And Poor Barb!  I told her she had incredible patience…

Between putting up with hiding my flaws…

My children’s sass ( 🙂 )…

Tim’s reluctance (he’s really not a photo person)…

And the hilarious babies…

We certainly gave her a day she won’t soon forget.

It was LOUD, it was CRAZY, it was FUN!

Whew….

Barb even got a “Luv You” from Elena when she left!

I can’t wait to see the finished products when she’s done…

I saw a couple of the snapshots and they were fantastic!

Thanks Barb…

And for those of you who haven’t heard of her – you can check out her photography and blogs here:  http://www.barbkelloggphotography.com/  and here:  http://aflickoflight.com/

Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!

  1. Thanks Patty! It really was fun. And I think your kids loved that I sassed back to you!!! 🙂 Ha ha. And poor Tim. But he was a good sport, and once we found his comfort zone, all was fantastic. The poor man had never met me AND he was being photographed. I think he did just fine.
