One Sneaky Pup

Look at that face!  Gabi was snapping shots and went in for a close-up.  There’s something very Jimmy Durante-esque about it, don’t you think?

Remember that adorable little puppy we brought home?

He goes by lots of names…Motzy, Mozzarella, Motzaball, The Piddler, Sneak, amongst a few others that I probably shouldn’t put in writing.

Here’s the perfect example of just what a little sneak he is…

These are Gabi’s Crocs which, as you can tell, Motzy loves.  I snapped this picture and then turned away.  This is what I found when I turned back…

Uh-huh.  You guessed it.  All I had to do was go peek behind our overstuffed chair and TA-DAAAA!  Look who I caught:

Boy he loves chewing on those Crocs!  They must have just the right amount of chewiness for his sharp little puppy teeth!  Little bugger.

A couple more snapshots that Gabi took…

This is the “How cute am I?” pose.

And then there’s the “Are you catching this one?” look:

And last but not least, the little Prince on his (our) pillow:

He won’t fit on it for long!  He’s already getting bigger – and more spots are showing up daily!

Thanks for putting up with my puppy pictures…he’s quite a character!

Gerty has a Croc addiction as well, perhaps an intervention is in order? It’s fine during the day, but right as we wind down, Gerty finds my Crocs and starts in on them. I tell you it’s the little vampire teeth that do it! He is adorable post away!

How cute is that little boy?? Makes me want to go get another puppy. I will bring you a full-proof chew toy that he will love, whenever I get a little break in the action.

  3. Bring him over for a play date with Tansy! She loves puppies (although she has a cut on her foot right now and shouldn’t run or roughhouse for a few days)

    • Sharee – he would LOVE it – Motzy’s very social and adores other dogs – maybe next week when Tansy’s foot is healed up!

Then I can see your workshop too!

Puppies! They do love to chew. We had a dog once that chewed up an entire chess set that my dad had just gotten from Russia. Her name was Daisy, and it was a long time ago, about 20 years ago when she was a puppy. I guess she didn’t chew up the whole set, she left the board and one knight, all the rest were destroyed. Good think she was little and fast and could hide good. My dad had just come home from hunting and was about ready to take her out for a little “hunting” when he saw what she had done. Although in the end he said it was partly his fault for leaving the thing where she could get it. Very expensive lesson learned. I tried to replace his set, but I was unable to. The store he got it from was no longer getting chess sets from Russia. It was a very pretty set. I think my dad saved the knight as a reminder of that day and that dog. Daisy’s long gone now, but her stories live on. 🙂

    • Wow! What a story Karla! Oh I bet your Dad was boiling! You’ll have to see if your Dad still has the knight!

  5. This is adorable. I wonder if Simon the cat would put up with a puppy that would later become a D-O-G… 😀 Puppy antics. They are great! Take care!

    • Hahaha! We used to have two cats and a dog and they surprisingly got along very well. However, Hershey, our chocolate lab at the time was way less sassy than Motzy is! Thanks for the complement – and for reading! Have a great day!

  6. Cute blog. We had a cat once that chewed our crocs to pieces. He kept getting them and hiding them and by the time we found them they were chewed up. He was such a snuggle bug, though, you couldn’t really stay mad.

    • Oh NO!!! That’s funny though and I completely understand how you couldn’t stay mad…that’s how Motzy is too!
