It’s been an interesting day here, so what do I do when I have a challenging day? I welcome an invite to Skype with Alex and Louis (my grandpuppy) and I look at adorable baby photos on Pinterest!
Oh my goodness have they come up with ways to take adorable baby photos these days! When my girls were babies – the cutest thing we got was an almost nakey baby in a tub with bubbles. They were adorable, of course, but now…they’ve gotten so creative!
I chose this picture because I heard today that by Friday we may have 20+ degree weather – in the positives! Whoo-hoooooo! And don’t you think the baby looks like she’s just gotten some shocking news? 🙂
I hope this brightens your day as much as it did mine!

Well, if you haven’t heard, it’s been cold here in Minnesota. It’s been REALLY cold up here in Northern Minnesota – this morning we had -33 with a wind chill that brought it down to -50! Did it stop me from running errands? Oh no…hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to PT I go!
Sunday, I finally put away all the Christmas decorations…it only took 7 hours with my daughters help :)! My wonderful, incredible, patient husband brings the bins up from the basement…and carries them down when they’re full!
I decided to do something a little different this year with our Christmas tree. Last year we left the lights on and put the tree on the deck – it was beautiful through the patio doors, especially when it snows! This year we pulled all the ornaments off but kept (and added) snowflake ornaments and we kept it in the living room…it’ll be on the deck when it starts shedding its needles!
Isn’t it beautiful? It almost makes the cold temps outside bearable…almost.
Stay warm everyone! No matter where you’re reading this!
Yesterday, Tim and I drove our middle daughter back to college…it was a fun trip with a some laughs and a nice chance to spend some time with just her.
We stopped to pick up some groceries for her at Target and, low and behold, they still had some Christmas items on clearance…I assumed they’d all be sold by now! I’m not one to travel to the stores for after Christmas sales, you see we live at least an hour away from a Target or a mall.
I made sure our daughter had dinner items in her cart to get her through at least the next few days (you see it’s supposed to be ungodly cold…down to -70 with the wind chill). (Hibernating weather) The governor even closed all public schools for tomorrow! Read more
