Please pray for Little Miss Carena…

There is a sweet little girl in the hospital today.

She’s actually been there most of this week with surgery on Wednesday.

She’s had undiagnosed fevers ranging up to 104.4 for months now and this surgery consisted of removing her tonsils and a few lymph nodes. Tests are being run, her i.v. keeps her hydrated, yet the fever continues on.

This sweet little girl was once my neighbor.

A few years ago as my husband and I painted our house, I would hear “Hello Miss Patty!!!” Yelled from across the street, out a front window, out of the mouth of this sweet little girl.

She’d run over as soon as her Mom or Dad would give her permission so we could have a quick hug and she could ask all kinds of questions, maybe swing on the swingset and definitely take time to talk about the flowers. Then her Mom and I would catch up on our daughters and life in general.

This family has had so many health battles in the last 8 years, there are times you look up and ask God “Why?”.

While it hasn’t been anything that wasn’t curable or at the very least treatable, it still has been extremely trying for them all.

Through it all their faith in God has never waivered, but they are tired. As my friend Cheri stood looking at her little one on her hospital bed covered in cool washcloths and ice packs I could hear it.

I prayed with all my might today that Heaven’s angels would surround them with their love, comfort, and healing hands.

God’s will is not always easy to understand, but please join me tonight in praying that His will would bring this family good health, peace and comfort through their trials.

And please pray for that sweet little girl Carena. May God lower her temperature and bring her back to her spunky little monkey self.
