My Babies are Blooming!

OK, that may sound a little off to you, however…
Take a peek at what I call my “babies”!
These truly are babies – ok…miniatures…they were a part of a basket from my Dad’s funeral. And on the off-chance that they’d grow outside, I plopped them in the dirt gently planted them.
Here’s one more shot of them…did you notice the hens and chicks in the background? That will give you a better feel for just how small they are.
So…this really is a miniature tour of my garden (pun intended)…
Here are my lovely little Hyacinths:
And then there’s these lovely little Bluebells…
I do love them, however I do find it amazing how these little tufts show up in my garden – EVERYWHERE! They’re almost as bad as my “bad hair day” plants.
OK, yes, I’m one of those gardeners…a few names stick in my brain and then there’s those that don’t, so I make up my own names for them!
And yes, I couldn’t pass up one quick little photo of this little pansy. My nephew calls them Johnny Jump Ups…
Is it just me or are all these photos a little blurry? Oh well…slash professional photographer off my future profession list.
One more photo just for fun…
Meet Mr. Bunny…
This picture was taken a week ago – as you can see we still had a little snow on the ground – and as you can see we have to put a “winter/spring” fence up to protect my garden. Not from bunnies, but actually from the deer – they like to eat ALL my tulips!!!
The little buggers…we’re fixing them this year – the fence is staying up until my tulips are done blooming – hopefully they will bloom in the next few days – they’re close! Woot, woot!
Back to flowers…
I’ll continue to post flowers as they bloom – and hopefully I can post a picture of my “garden bench” area soon too! And…I need to pull out my “junk” garden decor too!
I LOVE SUMMER in Minnesota!
I think we skipped the Spring season part of the calendar and just jumped in with both feet to Summer. Hmmmmm….makes me think of Grandma’s cabin…we’ll have to post a few fun pictures from there too!
Hold on – it’ll be a beautiful, colorful and fun ride!

How high is your fence? Deer are good jumpers you know. 😉

It’s a good 5-6 feet high! They’d better not be jumping it! I’ve lost out on my tulips for two years now…little buggers. And you should’ve seen what they did to my FABULOUS sunflowers a few years ago! Ate every one of them – but left one with a great big bite out of it…just to spite me! 🙂

Your spring flowers are pretty! I think we skipped spring and jumped into summer. It’ sooo hot already that I’m afraid what June will bring!

That is true here also Manuela! We’ve already had high 70’s which is unseasonably warm…of course I think we deserve some warm weather after the terrible, snowy “Spring” we had…but I too hope it doesn’t wind up too hot this summer. Picky, picky, picky!

Only your first photo of the baby daffodils (I think you were too close, so your camera couldn’t focus).
