A Mukluk Tea Party

Today I was invited to go to a Tea Party.

The best part?  The invite was from my little Miss El (daycare little one) and it was for parents, and grandparents, and at least one daycare lady…ME!

So we all (including both girls and their Momma) got dressed up and joined El at her school.  Of course, it’s still cold out so Momma and Nicole and I all wore our Steger Mukluks with our dresses!  We were quite stylish, I must say!

There were Valentine’s Day cookies, and Valentine’s Day M&M’s, and tea and hot chocolate…and even a performance by the kids of “I’m a Little Teapot”!  She may not have done all the actions, but she was singing along, albeit silently.  Her Mom said that’s what she’d do if she had to be up in front of people too, so it obviously runs in the family…

Not like my family…

There was Alex, who LOVED (ok, and still does love) the spotlight.  Then Sam, who tap danced up a storm when she was younger.  And now there’s Gabi…off playing basketball in front of 100’s.

And yes, if you must know, I did a little dancing and acting in plays a while back too…a loooooonnnnnggg while back.

I just love these little school events.

Just call me sappy.

{sigh}

What sweet little moments with these little people.  I’m sure glad they included me.

I hope you enjoyed your Tuesday today too!

Oh…and I know what you’re thinking… and NO I did not wear a tiara or gown. 🙂

  1. It’s fun being a little sappy. Memories. You (I) just want childhood to last forever and it can…but then you get funny looks from people you meet 😀 . So much fun. 🙂

    • Thanks – and I agree – childhood should last forever, at least in some ways. The wonderment, the love, the excitement over small things. That’s what we lose as we get older!

      Thanks for reading and commenting! I enjoy seeing your thoughts!
