A Beautiful Foot Muscle (?)

My Neurologist told me I have a beautiful foot muscle today.

We had been discussing Peripheral Neuropathy and EMG testing and she wanted to see my feet.  Her assistant/student and I had a good laugh when she commented on the beauty of my foot.

We really laughed when she told us how she looks at people’s feet and thinks to herself – I’d really like to poke that foot!

For those of you now thinking that this Doctor is nuts – what she’s talking about is doing an EMG on people’s feet. Read more

live imperfectly with great delight

I read this saying on a Curly Girl card today that a friend sent to me and I thought – HOW PERFECT!

Live imperfectly…let’s decode this…(yes I’ve been watching way too many murder mystery shows – blame it on NCIS).

Live imperfectly…

Go through every day striving to live as Jesus would want us to live…be kind, help your fellow man (or animal), work hard, love each other, find joy, be grateful…but remember you’re human. Read more

Oh no, I can’t go on
Every step falters
Weak ankles, trembling knees

For all I’m in the process of enduring

The sobs turn…

There are Moments I’m a Hater…

I’ve always hated the word hate.

I’ve always thought of myself as a pretty positive person.

But there are moments I succumb to the world’s frustrations.

Just now was one of them…

I realized the toilet had plugged up once again…(let’s just say it happened before everyone left the house this morning so we don’t point fingers).

It’s a finicky toilet, that seems to plug up fairly regularly (no pun intended {insert faint smile}). Read more
