A Walk Down Memory Lane

I had a walk down memory lane today…

I was looking for a poem that my dear friend Marlene had written for me when my Mom died (8 years ago today).Β  Unfortunately I didn’t find the poem, but I found lots of other fun items…and maybe that was God’s plan.

Instead of the sad moment I would have had reading the poem, I had lots of smiles, laughs and a few giggles looking through old photos. Read more

There are Moments I’m a Hater…

I’ve always hated the word hate.

I’ve always thought of myself as a pretty positive person.

But there are moments I succumb to the world’s frustrations.

Just now was one of them…

220 Minus Your Age

As an adultΒ the highest your pulse rate should go upΒ is figured at 220 minus your age.

This fact (?) was just stated on last week’s episode of Bones that I’m just now watching – thank you DVR.

I enjoy watching Bones…not the blood and gore part, but there’s something fascinating to meΒ about how they figure out who committed the murder.

Must be a flashback to my days of watching Murder, She Wrote with my Dad.Β  Which explains why I still love watching that show.

Angela LansburyΒ is my hero.Β  She lived this wonderful life teaching, and then reinvented herself after her husband passed away and Walaa!Β a mystery writer was born.Β  Of course, somewhere along the line murders started showing up in her life…weekly it seems if we go by the show’s schedule.Β  I always thought to myself…”Who on earth would want to be this woman’s friend – someone is always dying around her!”

Alas, I digress… Read more
