It’s the same island that we’ve always had but I decided it needed a facelift.

First off, let’s start with the vintageΒ toasters, which don’t show up very well in this pic.Β There’s a cute little scroll mark on the front.
I found them at the dump, with the cords cut off, and quickly snapped them up – putting them in our truck.Β As I write this, I laugh, thinking about the look on my husbands face. Read more

Yesterday was an interesting kind of day.
A fairly early doctor’s appointment in the morning…a mere 2 hours away.Β Add in a little funky weather.Β A curve in the road where my tire seemed to catch an edge.Β And awaaaayyyyy I went…spinning into the snow filled ditch.Β Β Trust me,Β a strong prayerΒ was said!
As I sat in the ditch, I said a quiet thank you to God…called 911…and then called the Dr.’s office desperately pleadingΒ for a later appt.
