Antlers, Leaves, and Wreaths = FALL

I LOVE FALL!
For anyone who’s seen my house this is no big surprise. Deep green with red and pumpkin colored trim? Yes, please. Fall is absolutely my favorite time of year. Bring on the sweaters…the pants…oooohhhhh – the scarves! And then there’s the decorating! I had so much fun doing my fall decorating this year…ok, it was done 3 weeks ago, but I’ve been kind of busy!
There’s outside decorating:
And my sweet little spot by the man door in the garage:
And then there are my poor little confused flowers that are still blooming (I’m sad to say there’s now snow on the ground and they’re all frozen):
Oh and take a peek at our poor little garden…so sad and empty.
But look at our new fire pit! Can anyone say Smores?
And then we move inside… A fun little fall arrangement encompassing the counter in my mudroom. Note the deer antlers which were in the old building we bought from our neighbor (who has since passed away)…I just never had the heart to get rid of them. Below the antlers you will see an old washboard and a tan tub with a cover – it’s actually an antique, hand powered, tabletop washing machine! Then there’s the deer paint-by-number picture that my sweet father-in-law brought us…it reminds me not only of him, but of my parents and their love for deer hunting…and then there’s all that venison I grew up eating (can I say how much I love REAL beef hamburger?)…here take a look:
On one of the other walls I made this fun arrangement…a soft, beautiful painting of a cow (I do miss seeing their sweet faces – that’s a vivid memory from my childhood! I know, I know…I eat beef and love cows too…so shoot me), ANOTHER fall wreath and a few junk finds just for fun!
Happy Fall everyone! (Now can this dusting of snow please go away? I want to enjoy Fall a little longer before I put up the Thanksgiving decorations!!!)
