Farmers Market Fun!

I love summertime here in Northern Minnesota!
Sunshine after a long winter, beautiful open lakes, sunrises and sunsets that glow the most beautiful colors. There’s fishing, camping, hiking…the Dorothy Molter Museum, the International Wolf Center, the North American Bear Center…wonderful restaurants, fabulous shopping, and amazing spas. There’s bird-watching, loon-calling, and amazing Northern Lights picture-taking. But one weekly event stands above all others…
The Farmers and Artists Market
This year I’ve decided to try my hand at selling a few of my crafty goodies. The name of my little business?

‘Loving the Past in the Present’
Recycle, Refurbish, Repurpose: Antique, Industrial, and Vintage
I’ve cleaned, scrubbed and poly’d…planted, watered and nurtured. I’ve purchased, designed and epoxy’d. And here are the results…
Obviously my tables will look better set up in the park and not in my garage. Threatening black clouds moved me inside last night. Oh – which reminds me – if it’s raining, you won’t find me at the Market. I know I won’t melt in the rain (I always picture the Wicked Witch…’I’m melting!’…’I’m melting!’… No, I actually like the rain, however sitting in it for 2 hours doesn’t sound like much fun. I’d rather be jumping in puddles. 🙂 )
If you happen to be in Ely on a Tuesday night, come and join the fun from 5-7:00 pm at Whiteside Park!
Happy Summer!

ps…I had great plans of making a cute photo mosaic of the close up pictures…Wordpress had other ideas this morning…the best laid plans…sigh.
So much hard work put into your set up. It looks great. Here’s to successful market selling adventures!

Thank you! It was a lot of fun tonight – combined with a few sales, I’d call it a great success!
