A Blog in a Pod

This blog comes to you live from Girl’s Weekend!

(Well, ok…great plans…it’s now 3 days after girls weekend.)

Welcome to the lobby of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Can you say FANTASTIC?

Just look at the architecture of this place.

It’s modern, almost futuristic, definitely fun, and gorgeous!

Check out this little slide show.

The first pictures are what you see as you come down the escalator.

Take a look at the pods on the far left.

I told my girlfriend that I definitely had to blog from one of the pods…

I mean really, how could I not?

So, I’m sitting here relaxing…computer on my lap, sipping my water…wishing it was wine.

But hey…it’s only 11:20 a.m…

Here’s a few shots of more fun areas of this hotel.

Look at this open conference area…

These chairs!

There are butt chairs, a funky rocker, a wood chip chair, a full body chair…

A rose chair, a rag chair, and a heat blanket chair…and there was a metal rocker, but it was occupied and I thought taking a picture of the guy might not be a good idea. 😉

It’s fun to see a hotel take a step away from the standard and promote creativity!

I did have the thought that I could make a few of those chairs!  Just give me some scraps of wood from Tim’s workshop and I’m on it…

I also know a few marathon runners who might have some heat blankets I could use…

But I’m definitely NOT using my butt to mold a butt chair!  Let’s just say that it would be much wider than the one they have!  Maybe a two-seater!  LOL!

Next, I’m off to the Mall of America which is just a hallway away!

Isn’t that convenient?

And, right…there…is a CARIBOU that opens at 6:30!  Sigh…I am in Heaven.

This…

trip…

has been…

wonderful…

we’ve shopped, visited, and had dinner at Cadillac Ranch and Crave.  Tonight we may just relax in the hotel room with pizza and a movie.

A little glitch was thrown into our schedule…my husband’s basketball game (he coaches) was changed to Saturday, so I get an extra overnight which I get to spend at my daughter’s apartment!

What a fun extra visit!  I got to see both daughters, one future son-in-law and my very sweet, lovable, grandpuppy Louis who turned 3 on Sunday!  Whahoo!  What fun!

Now it’s back to reality and back to my home, hubby and youngest daughter.

In all honesty,

I can’t wait!

I love the relax time, the catching up on friends lives…

But I love my family and my home too…

It’s my favorite place to be!

PS…So far I’ve gotten incredible deals at Old Navy, Tatyana, and have one more stop; Marshalls.  Watch for the next blog…I’ll share the deals I’ve found!
