Do Yew Know Responsabiwity?

Our favorite two little girls came over for a visit today.

Their Mom and Dad were busy running the Wolf Track Classic Dogsled Race here in Ely.  It’s a mere 60 miles which I’m sure there dogs thought was a walk in the park.

It’s amazing to watch these dogs and their excitement as they pull up to the starting line.

Seriously.

Those dogs are hopping, jumping, barking, and croaking!  (OK, hahaha, I had to throw the croaking in there because one of their dogs is named Frog and he literally sounds like one!)  Here’s the YouTube video link:

Frog the Dog

I know there are people out there that think it’s some form of cruelty to make these dogs run, but let me say….that’s the farthest thing from the truth.  These dogs LOVE to race!

But I digress,

The girls and I watched the start of the race, cheering on their parents and their friends, and then headed for ‘Patty’s House’.

The moment we got all of their stuff off (sheesh, I forgot how much stuff little ones wear!), they ran to hang out with Gabi.

Soon after, Gabi headed up to her bedroom and they realized that she’d disappeared.

The question came…”Where’s Gabi?”

I told them she was in her room and they should go check on her.

Off they went and I soon heard loud proclamations of:

“What a mess!”

“Gabi’s room is a mess!”

They came down to rat out Gab and wanted me to come see.

I informed them that I’d already seen it when I’d tried to wake her this morning, so they took Tim up…obviously someone had to see this shocking discovery!

Soon, Tim came down shaking his head and told me “That had to be the best ever!”

I looked at him with a question on my face and he explained.

As the girls showed him the room, Gabi walked in and Nicole (who’s three) looked at her and said…

“Do yew know RESPONSIBIWITY?”

Yup…I agree with Tim.

That comment will go down as a classic!

The three-year-old scolding the 15-year-old.

I love it!

Do you think we should remember this when Nicole is 15?

Maybe we should check her room?

We’ll have to ask her if she remembers her ‘responsibiwity’!

🙂

Patty O

ps…in all honesty, Gab’s room isn’t nearly as messy as her older sisters were at this age!  Good thing Nicole wasn’t around when they were 15!

pps…Thanks to //teenagerposts.tumblr.com for the featured image!
