Crazy is as Crazy does…

Thank you Forest Gump…

Does anyone else have days when all you want is boring?

You’d think I would have had enough of those this winter as I was laid up.  However it seemed there was always something going on with a family members health, or a kids thing, or a husbands thing, or a doctors appt…or a…or a… Read more

Shine On, Grandma, Shine On!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words…

Let’s see just how true that is…

Oh the stories behind this picture…

First off, let’s start with the vintage toasters, which don’t show up very well in this pic.  There’s a cute little scroll mark on the front.

I found them at the dump, with the cords cut off, and quickly snapped them up – putting them in our truck.  As I write this, I laugh, thinking about the look on my husbands face. Read more

Where Oh Where Did Our Silverware Go?

Odd topic for a blog?

Definitely…

But if you have children…who are or have been teenagers, you’ll understand.

Tim and I laughed tonight as we looked at our silverware drawer.

We’ve talked for a while now about how we’d really like to buy a new set of silverware…one that all matches, however it’s pretty low on the “want” list…with quite a few “needs” ahead of it!

Our peace is in Him.

I stopped at my favorite radio station yesterday.

I found them on one of my trips last year as I was going through therapy for some past “stuff” I had to work through.  Parent “stuff”, sibling “stuff”, work “stuff”, me “stuff”…old “stuff” that just kept coming back to haunt me (thus the term PTSD).

The reason I stopped at the station was to thank them and to tell them just how much their music had meant to me during this difficult time.  I laughed with it, I cried with it, I rejoiced with it, and I prayed with it. Read more

Style Consultation aka Fun with Friends!

A fun afternoon with a friend turned into a fun afternoon with lots of friends!

We’d made an appointment when she sent out the text for help – she has four events coming up that she needs outfits for…

This is one of the things I LOVE to do…

And one of my God-given talents (which seems so minor in the realm of talents, but I have fun with it anyway)…

Helping people find the perfect outfit, or a whole new wardrobe, or a few things to add to their wardrobe!

We have a great time, trying things that are their style…things that are slightly beyond their style and even a few things that are way out there!

Needless to say there are more than a few giggles that happen.  We may even get a little loud and rammy…but that’s ok…we definitely have fun! Read more
