Patty’s Attic

Today I bring you a touch of beauty via recycling. Β Flowers and herbs planted in some fantastic, vintage pieces that I purchased. Β They’ve been scraped, washed, and poly’d or painted!

They’ve all lived a good life, and I’ve re-purposed them so they may enjoy a NEW life! Β Join me – 2 doors down from Ely’s Annual Blueberry Festival in Whiteside Park! Β Will you give one of these lovelies a new home?

For pricing, you can look at my Facebook page: Β A Thankfully Imperfect Woman!

Thanks for reading! Β I promise to be back with fun stories soon!

Have a GREAT weekend!

Flowers – No Words, Just Relax and Enjoy

Flowers and Cows and Worms – Oh My!

My father-in-law has said that I make things more complicated than they need to be.

Well…

Sometimes I guess I do.

Like when it comes to our yard…

It takes me days to “decorate” our yard and my gardens every year. Β It’s ever evolving in a manner of speaking…new junk = new garden decor. Β Remember the old saying: Β ‘Your garbage may be someone else’s treasure’?

Yes…my yard is living proof. Β I have dilapidated bird houses, old pans, old faucets, a few faded decor items…you name it. Β But they look lovely now! Β I love repurposing things, giving them a new home, and showing them a little love…even though they’re old, faded and worn out (hmmmm…maybe I’m describing myself?). Read more

“You’re so Cwabby?”

See this cute little hanging extender?

Well, I made it last week while Elena was here.

I love the little Hummingbird feeder, but it hung just way too high – we couldn’t see the little hummers feeding!

So off I went to find wire and my needle nose pliers.

Grab an end and twist…the other end and twist…

And Wha-laaaaaa!

It took all of 10 seconds.

I was so proud of myself!

I very loudly pronounced “I’M SO CRAFTY!”

Elena cocked her little head, looked at me and said “You’re so cwabby?”

I replied…”NO, NO, NOOOOOO”…”I’m so crafffffttttttyyyyy”.

She looked up at me again and said “Oh”.

And went off to play some more.

{sigh}

So much for my big proud moment…

It turned into a silly, giggle moment.

That’s ok, those are much more fun anyway!

I hope you have a good giggle today!

ps…Now that I look at it in the picture, I really could make it so much better…I might have to get craftier (not cwabbier). πŸ™‚
