There is Beauty All Around Us…

I LOVE summertime – and all the gorgeous flowers that grow!

These are some of the latest beauties from my garden…

Have I told you the story of how my Irises took over?

I had my garden all planned out…(this was 9 years ago).

I had shorter perennials planned for the outside of the garden, then the Irises, then on the inside I planted Delphiniums.

Beautiful, beautiful.

The first two years it was GORGEOUS…if I do say so myself.

And then the Irises took over.

They killed off the Delphiniums – literally choked them out!

Buggers.

Oh well.

So…each year I move a few things…

The Delphiniums are now on the other side of our path where those beautiful (darn) Irises can’t get at them!

Here’s a broad shot of the garden area…(I’ll add a photo of the Delphinium side later)

I like to have my garden planned out so that something is always blooming.

Look at these beautiful Lupines…they’re just starting to bloom!

And look what else I found peeking out of my rock wall!!!  I’ve always wanted Ferns!

And just for fun I had to throw in a picture of my Cranberry bush…it’s blooms smell as beautiful as they look!
