I have a plan…

A plan is being hatched…
It involves my mother-in-law Barbara, myself, Tim’s truck, coffee and our local landfill.
I called her this morning and told her I needed a partner-in-crime.
OK, so it’s not really for crime…however my husband might equate it to a crime for me to bring home some of the treasures I find.
Does he complain? Well, no. But I get the look.
And if he’s being particularly patient, I don’t get the look, but I know it’s still underneath that kind face.
Deep down there’s an eye roll. I just know it.
He and I went to deliver our garbage on Saturday, and boy did I find some fun goodies.
An old kids metal chair with a torn seat.
A whirly thing that people put on top of their roofs – yes that would be the technical term…whirly thing.
The front of an old furnace, along with a couple more side pieces. The front will be my new message board in my craft area (with magnets) and the sides, well we’ll get to that.
That’s why we’re going back. I need more outside pieces of this furnace. It’s a cool green color…and there must be something I can do with it.
You see I love old metal. Give me vintage metal anything and my heart soars.
I have plans, great plans.
The chair will be recovered.
The whirly thing will be a part of a sculpture…I plan on learning how to weld someday and make large, cool pieces. That may be quite a few years off, but it’s still a plan.
I woke up at 5 a.m. with another plan for the furnace pieces.
This will take some more gathering…and patience. I need the rest of the pieces to fall into place before I can put it all together…but I trust it will.
God works in mysterious ways and I know that epiphany moment came from Him.
He’s done it before. Many times in fact.
That “Aha” moment, when it all comes together.
I have lots of those moments to share with you. Most of them much more meaningful than a decorating idea.
But that’s for another day.
For today, I have a plan. Barbara and I are off…doot, dah doot! (My poor attempt at a trumpet blare.)
Have a blessed day!

Did Barb know what she was getting into? LOL. But more important … Did you find what you needed to put your plan in motion?

I didn’t find everything yet…and no Barb didn’t know what she was getting into…however there was an incident with a fall, a metal corrugated sheet and Barbara…thankfully the screws sticking out of the corrugated sheet didn’t connect with her ars or it would have been an interesting E.R. visit! Oh, and she hadn’t signed the release form either!
