Entropy, Humbled and Honored

I am amazed, absolutely amazed by the people (men and women) that are liking and commenting on my blog.

I started this little adventure after encouragement from my friend Jan, (who will someday be a guest blogger on here).

I never expected that anyone but my close friends and family might read it, ok, never is too strong a word…I admit I secretly hoped it could turn into something bigger, but c’mon now – I’m just me…in little Ely, Minnesota.

I’m not trying to be all cutesy – “oh it’s just lil’ ole’ me”.

After all – God made me – I must be something special.

But really – it’s just me…and I’m just from this little (albeit) beautiful town.

And this blog’s followers have grown from just a few family and friends to an entire community of people from all over the country and world that like and appreciate my stories and the way I write!  How cool is that!!!

OK, well all except one so far.  I did get one criticism…I meant to keep it, but somehow it disappeared.

This person’s comment was this: “Dead writing, filled with entropy”.

OK, I’ve never claimed to be the brightest bulb in the box, so I had to look up the word entropy.  It’s definition is “order and disorder”.

(insert laughter)

I got my first criticism… and yet what was so funny is…this person had hit the nail right on the head!

Order and Disorder.

That’s my life!

Every time I think there’s order…disorder happens.

And in the midst of disorder, I try to find some assemblance of order…

It’s a vicious cycle…and so I laugh.

What else do you do?

Cry?  Ok, yes once in a while.

But as the saying goes…laughter is the best medicine.

On to the Humble and Honor part of the title…

To say that I’m humbled and honored to have people such as the following like or comment on my blog is putting it mildly:

This woman, this Blog of the Year 2012 Award winner, has liked 7 of my posts!  And not only is she an award winner, but more importantly she is a cancer survivor.  She’s quite an inspiration and I’m so honored that she likes my writing.  I like her 5 year plan which you can read about with this link.   http://cancerkillingrecipe.wordpress.com/2012/04/06/my-65-th-birthday/  Thank you, “oneanna65″  –  you are an amazing woman!

And my newest follower…”Sandy’s Hopeful Room”, Wife, Mother of 3, Grandmother of 4.  Double Lung Transplant Recipient (wow!).   Lives in Pennsylvania.

Another woman that has joined my journey is “meg68”.  A mother of 8 from Australia, blogging her way through motherhood, work frustrations, and everyday events.  Australia – seriously?  How cool is that?  And mother of 8?  Give that woman an award!  http://athomeworkplaydotcom.wordpress.com/2013/01/27/miss-australia/comment-page-1/#comment-126

These women are incredibly inspiring.  But not just them, I appreciate everyone who’s taking the time to read my blog.

Thank you, from one humble and honored woman…who writes and lives in entropy. 🙂

May God bless us all!

  1. Thank you so much, we are all in this world together, and we need all the support we can get. I’m awfully proud to have been mentioned in your blog. I feel the same way as you do, how amazing that this community of “followers” read my ramblings.
