Words, Words, Words!

There are good words and bad words.

Happy words and sad words.

Words that harm and words that heal.

Words that teach and words that reach.

Sometimes there are no words.

Other times there are too many.

We can tear down with our words,

or we can inspire.

Think before you speak, they say.

It can make or break someone’s day.

There are times our “filter” works overtime.

And times it forgets to work at all.

Let’s choose our words wisely,

Because God has called one and all.

Whether we feel they are worthy,

Or whether they feel we are too.

Turn the other cheek they say,

But don’t be anyone’s fool.

A picture is worth a thousand words,

But may only need one or two.

To bring an emotion,

Of joy or sadness to light.

A smile, thought or tear,

It can make everything right.

Music can move us,

In ways words cannot.

TheyΒ can make us feel feelings,

We’ll never forget.

When played years later…

We may be filled with regret.

Or be filled with elation,

Or excitement or joy.

Bursting with happiness,

Or grieving a loss,

Words can give meaning,

To a life that was lost.

Today I pray,

That you are spoken to kindly,

And in return,

Use your words to bring joy to mankind(ly).

Have a blessed day everyone!

From your friend,

ps…I never claimed to be a poet.

English teachers are now screeching “It just doesn’t flow!”

I apologize Johnny I and my friend Reggie,

I’ll work on my grammar,

It’s been awhile you know! πŸ™‚

pps…enjoy a few pictures that evoke emotions

…warm and fuzzy ones,

andΒ joyful and hug-full,

andΒ smiley and wrilyΒ ones.

Little children don’t need their words,

to make an adult turn into a puddle…

these pictures brought happiness to my heart,

There was no need to muddle.Β  (yeah, yeah, I know – there’s no such word as muddle)

because they were made just for me,

with their sweet little hands,

and their chubby little fingers…

and a muse-ical look on their face,

as they determinedly drew…

Coloring and coloring,

they just drew, drew and drew.

Sweet babies they are,

squeezed with love and a thank you.

Innocence at it’s purest…

without a care in the world.

To see things through their eyes,

brings beauty backΒ into our hearts where God meant it to be.

Without all the fear and hatred,

the world tries to push us through,

Be kind, be grateful,

See the good not the bad.

Your attitude will change dramatically,

with a smile on your face.

And it just might inspire the town grump,

or lighten his load…

and maybe the Grinch’s heart,

will grow, grow, grow, grow, grow! πŸ™‚
