The Toilet Paper Caper

On a lighter note,

I have an apology to make to my adorable, funny, devilish, littlest daycare girl.

About a week ago my daughter Sam found her in the bathroom where she’d unrolled all of the toilet paper.

Sam said “Did you do this?”

To which Nic responded “Yes”.

Sam promptly had her roll it back up.

Fast forward to the next week.

I find Nic in the bathroom where the toilet paper is once again rolled out and on the floor.

I gave her ‘the look’ and she quickly said “I didn’t do that!”

I believe I gave her a ‘hmm, mmm’ and said ‘let’s clean it up’.

Two days later, when the girls weren’t here, I walked in to find the toilet paper roll unrolled again!

Just then a strong wind blew in through the open window and I saw the toilet paper flutter.

Sigh.

It was the wind.

Nicole wasn’t fibbing.

I’ll be apologizing to her and I think extra hugs are in order!

My little devilish, funny girl was telling the truth!

I love that little peanut…

I hope your day brings a little quirky adventure~

Do Yew Know Responsabiwity?

Our favorite two little girls came over for a visit today.

Their Mom and Dad were busy running the Wolf Track Classic Dogsled Race here in Ely.  It’s a mere 60 miles which I’m sure there dogs thought was a walk in the park.

It’s amazing to watch these dogs and their excitement as they pull up to the starting line.

Seriously.

Those dogs are hopping, jumping, barking, and croaking!  (OK, hahaha, I had to throw the croaking in there because one of their dogs is named Frog and he literally sounds like one!)  Here’s the YouTube video link: Read more

Sicilian Meatloaf

See this sad little piece of meatloaf?

I really did plan on taking a picture of the process and the final product.

However…

I forgot during the process.

And my family devoured it before I could get a picture of it fresh from the oven.

It really was fantastic…

Much better than this little end piece looks.

If the way to your families heart is through their stomachs, they LOVE me and this meatloaf!

Here’s the recipe… Read more

This, is the rest of the story:

During our girls weekend, my friend from Utah had to work.  She works for Delta and needed to train in some people from Alaska Airlines, so I had some time to myself.

What did I do?

I shopped!
