Words, Words, Words!

There are good words and bad words.

Happy words and sad words.

Words that harm and words that heal.

Words that teach and words that reach. Read more

Shine On, Grandma, Shine On!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words…

Let’s see just how true that is…

Oh the stories behind this picture…

First off, let’s start with the vintageΒ toasters, which don’t show up very well in this pic.Β  There’s a cute little scroll mark on the front.

I found them at the dump, with the cords cut off, and quickly snapped them up – putting them in our truck.Β  As I write this, I laugh, thinking about the look on my husbands face. Read more

Where Oh Where Did Our Silverware Go?

Odd topic for a blog?

Definitely…

MEN-O-PAUSE!!!

OK MEN…move along…go to the next blog…this one’s not for you.

Unless you want to know what really goes on in a woman’s mind during the lovely process we affectionately call menopause.

I stopped at my favorite radio station yesterday.

If you are anywhere close to Duluth, Minnesota,Β I highly recommend you tune into Life 97.3.Β  It’s an upliftingΒ and yet calming Christian station.

I found them on one of my trips last year as I was going through therapy for some past “stuff” I had to work through.Β  Parent “stuff”, sibling “stuff”, work “stuff”, me “stuff”…old “stuff” that just kept coming back to haunt me (thus the term PTSD).

The reason I stopped at the station was to thank them and to tellΒ them just how much their music had meant to me during this difficult time.Β  I laughed with it, I cried with it, I rejoiced with it, and I prayed with it. Read more
