Spring is Springing!

It has to be!

The snow piles are shrinking (I think we’re down to 3 1/2 feet now)!

I think we even hit 35 degrees today!

You can almost see my vegetable garden again…

Tear off those North Face down-filled coats, breathe in that fresh air, and hang on Minnesotan’s…it’s almost here!

I’m starting to decorate for it!

A week ago, I pulled out the summer towels…

I know that sounds somewhat ridiculous…

But when we redid the bathroom, I told my husband that with 5 in the family, the towels were part of the bathroom decor (teehee)…

But it’s true!  Just look –

I have yellow ones too that I REALLY like for summer, but I’ll let them hibernate a little longer…

The blue is nice and bright for now.

In fact they’re the color of the sky outside!

What a welcome sign of spring!

OK, back to decorating…

Isn’t this lil’ vignette just sweet?

It makes me want to invite a friend over and sit there with a cup of tea and chat our afternoon away…

unfortunately, it’s in my garage…

and it is only 35 degrees out.

Our tea would get cold…

we’d catch a chill…

and our noses would turn red…

and then we’d look like Rudolph…

which would ruin the whole scene.

Ah, well, I guess we’ll just enjoy the welcoming look of it for now.

Summer will be here soon (I hope)…

In the meantime we’ll dream of all things Spring…

Green grass, budding of the trees,

the tulips and hyacinths and daffodils blooming…

and then Summer will be here and the lilies will bloom too!

Can you believe these grew in MY garden???
