Booster Cables Attached…Charged and Ready to Go (Chug, Chug)

How do you start blogging again when you’ve taken such a long break? (It’s been almost 5 months.)
This is the question I’ve been struggling with for a few months.
I figured I needed a catchy title…which, of course, prolonged the process.
I wanted to let you know why I took such a long break…but not necessarily go into all the details.
I wanted to tell you funny stories, or inspiring things I’d seen and experienced…but I didn’t have the energy.
I wanted to share…but didn’t know how.
I finally remembered what I tell my children when they’re overwhelmed.
‘How do you eat an elephant? Β One bite at a time.’
OK, in all seriousness…gross. Β Elephants are too beautiful to eat…but you get the general idea.
Make a list of everything that needs to get done, take one job at a time, and check it off when it’s done.
So…
Here I am.
Booster cables on…
Getting recharged…
And writing again.
There no doubt will be a little chugging along the way.
Health issues were the reason for the absence. Β Nothing life threatening…just life changing.
Health issues that will bring moments of frustration, but mostly acceptance.
Acceptance and maintenance.
Maintenance…and a slow, but steady paced strengthening and endurance plan.
I’m not as sick or as tired as I was…thank God!
So now it’s time to get back to writing.
Are you ready?
‘Cause, I’M BACK!
Patty O
Glad to see you are back. I hope you will find the motivation to continue.I love your wittiness and humor just like eating an elephant. π I dropped out for a while and can’t seem to get back at it–also health related. Wishing you the best! – Amy π

(That makes 3 of us), but my health issues are over and I’m back in the blogging saddle again. I still can’t post every day like I used to, as Patty said, life does get in the way sometimes!
It IS hard to start posting again after a long absence. I struggled for days and then just thought I’d start typing and see where it went?
My style has changed a lot, and I don’t have a journal style daily blog anymore, but I “like” my blog more now. It feels more like me (than the person who was struggling through pain and health issues last year). It took me a couple of posts to find my feet, but I found them sooner than I expected. It feels great.
So good to see you back Patty, looking forward to hearing more from you and yours. xx
